Computation of the Jordan normal form of a matrix using versal deformations

Numerical problem of finding multiple eigenvalues of real and complex nonsymmetric matrices is considered. Using versal deformation theory, explicit formulae for approximations of matrices having nonderogatory multiple eigenvalues in the vicinity of a given matrix $A$ are derived.
