A Note on solutions to a model for long internal waves in a rotating fluid

In this note we consider solutions of a nonlinear model for internal waves and its linearized version. We obtain a series of regularizing estimates for solutions of the linearized problem via the oscillatory integrals theory established in [9]. We also show a local smoothing effect for solutions of the nonlinear problem reminiscent of the one proved for solutions of the Benjamin-Ono equation in [15].
